This thesis deals with construction of a cheap robotic manipulator, which should be used for exhibitions and educational purposes. This project is a teamwork of two students. A robotic arm with four degrees of freedom was developed. Control and power electronics were installed for whole robot. The software’s aim is to develop a software that can control the robot by visual feedback, obtained from image processing of an image from 3D camera. Lastly, a graphic user interface for robot movement control is presented.

Title: Influence of six-week training intervention with visual feedback on the NeuroCom SMART Equitest System on the postural stability of football players Objectives: The first aim of this diploma thesis is to find out the effect of the six-week training intervention with visual feedback performed on the NeuroCom SMART EquiTest on the postural stability of football players. The second aim of this diploma thesis is to correlate the Maximum Excursion parameter from the Limits of Stability test on the NeuroCom with the Star Excursion Balance Test score performed on The MAT. Methods: This research involved 20 football players in the age from 19 to 30 (age average = 23,85; SD = 2,79), who belong to the adult category. First, soccer players underwent initial postural stability measurements using seven tests on the NeuroCom SMART EquiTest and excursion distance measurements when performing the Star Excursion Balance Test (SEBT) on the MAT. The role of optical function and its influence to the posture

This bachelor thesis deals with the optical function as one of the multisensory modalities in postural control. The theoretical part concerns the anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology of the visual system and their relationship to postural functions. It also includes a further indefinite weakening of neurophysiological principles, influencing other sensory perceptions and motor manifestations with the visually impaired, who belong to group with reduced postural control. The work describes the examination methods and training options for visual perception and its impact on postural control. These applications are applied in the practical sections in the case report of visually impaired patients, in whom the influence of the individual examination unit on postural function was investigated. For the assessment were used the Rehawalk pressure platform and the clinical test of dynamic postural stability Star-Excoursion Balance Test.

The assessment of the compensation of stabilometric parameters in patients after vestibular schwannoma surgery

In this thesis, we have been dealing with the evaluation of progressing of the postural stability in the patients after the operation of the vestibular schwannoma (VS). The stability was evaluated by means of stabilometric parameters (COP trajectory length, COP confidence ellipse area). We measured the development of the parameters before operation, immediately after resection and before the discharge. The set contained 17 patients (n = 17). The level of static importance we determined p ≤ 0,05. We found a statistically significant difference between the measurement before the operation and the measurement immediately after the operation (COP confidence ellipse area: p = 0,0183, COP trajectory length: p = 0,0355). On the other hand, the change in both parameters in the measurement before the discharge and the testing after the resection wasn't statistically significant (COP confidence ellipse area: p = 0,4081, COP trajectory length: p = 0,9991). Our next goal was to find out if the stability fault correlates with the disorder of function VOR. Compensation of balance disoder in time in patients after vestibular schwannana resection

Introduction: Disorders of balance and dizziness are characteristic symptoms in patients after vestibular schwannoma surgery and often have a negative impact on their quality of life. This thesis deals with impairment of postural stability particularly in patients at the long time period after surgery. The aim of this study is to observe the longitudinal development of vestibular compensation from acute postoperative period to time of several years after surgery. Another aim is to evaluate the short-term effect of vestibular rehabilitation in a long time period after surgical treatment, and to compare the results of measuring the subjective visual vertical, posturography, score of the Dizziness Handicap Inventory questionnaire, age and tumor size in these patients. Methods: Examined group consisted of 10 patients after resection of vestibular schwannoma (mean age 41.4 ± 12.1 years; 2 women and 8 men). All patients underwent intensive rehabilitation program in the acute phase after surgery. 7 patients did exercise with visual feedback, and 3 patients had conventional rehabilitation without visual feedback. Evaluation of the effect of rehabilitation using visual biofeedback for patients after vestibular schwannoma resection

The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the effect of rehabilitation with visual biofeedback at acute stage after vestibular schwannoma surgery and to evaluate if preoperative intratympanic aplication of gentamicin has influence on vestibular compensation of standing stability. The study was attended by 20 patients (12 women and 8 men) in the age from 28 to 63 years. Eight patients had vestibular schwannoma diagnosed in their left side, twelve in the right side. Rehabilitation program using interactive rehabilitation system Homebalance took place from the 5th postoperative day until hospital discharge, daily 15 to 20 min. To evaluate of therapeutic intervention objectively the device Synapsys Posturography System was used. Stabilometric examination was done before operation of vestibular schwannoma, after operation and after termination of rehabilitation with visual biofeedback. Statistic analysis showed significant increase of mean values of measured parameters CoP (sway velocity CoP, length of trajectory of CoP, area of the confidence ellipse CoP) postoperatively compared to preoperative values. Stabilometric platform Nintendo Wii and program HomeBalance were used during the therapy and enable the visual biofeedback to the pacient. Another specification of this therapy is that the whole process was situated to home environment. The therapy lasted one month and every patient should exercise every day. Time of one exercise depended on the patient's skills. The patient's task was to change position of the center of pressure to the specific place. Every day the patient exercised identical therapeutic scene consisting of a balanced position sequence in the space, that the patient should have achieved. Clinical findings and diagnosis of vestibular lesions in patiens with vestibular schwannomem

Summary: The aim of our study was diagnosis and rehabilitation of vestibular loss in patients with vestibular schwannoma. In the first part we focused on analysis of a group of patients before resection of vestibular schwannoma, mainly on evaluation of gain of posturography and on optimalisation of diagnostic algorithm of vestibular pathology. Throughout the second experiment, we studied if rehabilitation of postural gait with visual biofeedback will speed up vestibular compensation in patients after resection of vestibular schwannoma. The group consisted of 44 patients, who underwent surgical removal of vestibular schwannoma. Before surgery each patient underwent clinical vestibular examination, electronystagmographic recordings and posturography. In the second part of the study 17 patients from previous group were chosen. These patients underwent rehabilitation and rehabilitation with biofeedback. For evaluation was used independent samples T-test and cross-tabulation. A great number of variables were reduced by factor analysis. For statistical analysis of the group with rehabilitation was used nonparametric Wilcoxon signed rank test.
